Dr. Pearl Fiona Chen
Dr. Chen developed a love for veterinary medicine early on in life as the daughter of a veterinarian. She grew up assisting her late father’s companion animal practices here in Southern California while she pursued undergraduate degrees in Environmental Science and Economics at nearby UC Riverside.
She then relocated to Grenada, where she furthered her undergraduate studies in Life Sciences before earning her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from St. George’s University School of Veterinary Medicine. Following her time in Grenada, Dr. Chen completed an additional year of clinical training at Louisiana State University School of Veterinary Medicine. She has practiced locally in Lakewood, Culver City, Pasadena, and Valley Village, and is excited to continue providing care at Brookfield Pet Hospital.
In practice, Dr. Chen takes a special interest in feline medicine as cats are her spirit animal. She is particularly passionate about mature life stage and geriatric care, nutrition, and preventative care-wellness education for pet parents. Currently, Dr. Chen resides in the Los Angeles area and during her free time, you may find her at a local coffee shop getting her caffeine fix. She enjoys exploring new dining experiences, traveling to any sunny destination, and relaxing in her catio with her family.
