Dr. Zachary Houghtaling

Dr. Zach Houghtaling grew up in Washington State, where he spent much of his childhood playing baseball and basketball. He attended the University of Washington for his undergraduate studies before heading across the state to Washington State University for veterinary school.

After graduating, Dr. Zach spent his first four years as a veterinarian at a large VCA hospital on Oahu, Hawaii, where he developed a particular interest in urgent care and dentistry. He later moved to Southern California and has spent the past year and a half serving as a Medical Director.

Outside of veterinary medicine, Dr. Zach has been a lifelong Seahawks fan, loves to cook, and can often be found riding his electric motorcycle or finding an excuse to get outside. He and his wife, Priya, have been married for eight years and share their home with their two cats, Shasta and Bindi. He’s excited to join the Brookfield team, get to know its clients and patients, and help build on the hospital’s strong foundation.
